Car theft city returns

I’m excited to announce a return of roofstone’s car theft city! Let’s once more gather for an epic adventure of true grand theft auto. For those who have not played this before, we gather in a freemode session for two full in-game days, i.e. 96 minutes. The aim is to steal cars from a pre-specified list, and bring them to a designated delivery zone.

Dress code is gangster style.


Different sets of cars will be worth a different amount of points. We work in teams of 3 to 5 people. Each team will highly benefit from coordinating their efforts to maximize their score. At least 6 people (in addition to the host) must sign up to make the event possible.

Unlike previous iterations, this time I will track all deliveries in a shared google spreadsheet. This makes it easier for each team to coordinate their progress.

Delivery zone

We shall use the small parking lot near the back of the casino as delivery zone, whilst the racing track serves for plane deliveries:


The rules this time around are as follows:

  1. You cannot deliver any owned vehicles, such as personal vehicles, Pegasus vehicles, CEO/MC vehicles, and so on. Driving or flying in personal or Pegasus vehicles is allowed (though you cannot deliver them).
  2. You cannot negatively interfere with other players. So, do not use weapons or use other offensive techniques against other players (such as calling robbers, Merryweather airstrikes, orbital cannon, offensive CEO/MC abilities, …). Using guns against NPCs is allowed.
  3. You cannot fast travel by job warping.
  4. You cannot enter the delivery zone whilst having police on you. This incurs 10 penalty points per offence.

All non-offensive abilities are allowed (such as calling Lester to lose cops, fast travel using submarine or yacht, …).


The plan for the car list and point allocation is as follows:

  • Individual cars, each worth 4 points.
  • Three car collections. The cars in each collection must be delivered at the same time, and the entire collection is worth 15 points.
  • Eight car collections. The cars in these larger collections can be delivered in any order, and points increase as you deliver more cars from the same collection. The points go as follows: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 20, 30. So, delivering just the first five cars in a collection is worth 1+2+3+4+5=15 points (the same as a three car collection), but if you manage to deliver all eight cars, you earn a whopping 1+2+3+4+5+10+20+30=75 points.
  • There are special points for delivering exotic exports, hookers, and dead passengers. A maximum of 10 of each of these can be delivered per team. The scores for these increases as follows: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, separate for each category and each team. So, if your team delivers 2 exotics, 3 hookers, and 4 dead passengers, your team would earn (1+2)+(1+2+3)+(1+2+3+4) points. Hookers and dead passengers can be delivered in any vehicle i.e. it must not be a vehicle that needs delivering, though it can be, in which case both will count.
  • During the car theft city event, certain special deliveries may be announced, and certain collections may earn extra points. These will be announced on the go.

It is possible that a few cars will simply not spawn for the entire 96 minute duration in the session, especially for some of the rarer ones. You will need to strategize for this eventuality.
