We’re on for car theft city, steal with zeal, this Sunday. So ready yourselves for more grand theft auto. As usual, we will gather in a freemode session for two full in-game days, i.e. 96 minutes. Your task is to steal cars from a pre-specified list, and bring them to a designated delivery zone. Teamwork and collaboration are key!

Dress code is dark and shady.

Teams

Different sets of cars will be worth a different amount of points. We work in teams of 3 to 5 people. Each team will highly benefit from coordinating their efforts to maximize their score. At least 6 people need to be present to make the event possible.

We will use a small parking lot near Legion Square as delivery zone:

Rules

The rules are exactly as the last car theft city event:

  1. You cannot deliver any owned vehicles, such as personal vehicles, Pegasus vehicles, CEO/MC vehicles, and so on. Car meet test rides cannot be delivered either. Driving or flying in personal or Pegasus vehicles is allowed (though you cannot deliver them).
  2. You cannot negatively interfere with other players. So, do not use weapons or use other offensive techniques against other players (such as calling robbers, Merryweather airstrikes, orbital cannon, offensive CEO/MC abilities, blocking someone in so they cannot deliver, …). Using guns against NPCs is allowed.
  3. You cannot fast travel by job warping.
  4. You cannot enter the delivery zone whilst having police on you. This incurs 10 penalty points per offence.

All non-offensive abilities are allowed (such as calling Lester to lose cops, fast travel using submarine or yacht, …).

Points

The steal with zeal car lists and point allocations follows below. There are some changes to the system compared to the previous iteration, to fix some issues that were observed. A few notes:

  • All deliveries will be tracked in a shared google spreadsheet, to allow each team to coordinate their progress.
  • It is possible that a few cars will simply not spawn for the entire 96 minute duration in the session, especially for some of the rarer ones. You will need to strategize for this eventuality.
  • During the car theft city event, certain special deliveries may be announced, and certain collections may earn extra points. These will be announced on the go.

Individual deliveries

Each of these vehicles is worth 4 points. They can only be delivered once.

Four car collections

The cars in each collection must be delivered in pairs. The first pair is worth 10 points, and the second pair is worth 15 points. So each collection is worth 25 points in total. Each collection can be completed only once.

  • Emergency: any three ambulances with distinct liveries (can be different from pictures as long as they are all different), plus a Maverick ambulance
  • Griswold: note that the Regina must have bags for this delivery to count
  • Handy Man: four Burrito’s with exactly these liveries
  • Need for speed:
  • Terminator: note there are different trucks that can carry trailers; you must specifically deliver a Hauler
  • Transformers: truck must be a Phantom and it must carry a shipping container (i.e. no other type of trailer); Lazer must simply fly over the delivery zone for delivery to count

Eight car collections

The cars in these larger collections can be delivered in any order, and points increase as you deliver more cars from the same collection. The points go as follows: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15. So, delivering just the first five cars in a collection is worth 1+3+5+7+9=25 points (the same as a four car collection), but if you manage to deliver all eight cars, you earn a whopping 1+3+5+7+9+11+13+15=64 points. Each collection can be completed only once.

Topless collection

  • The first six cars that you deliver from this collection can be delivered individually, in any order. The last six cars that you deliver must be delivered in pairs, in any order. Points increase as you deliver more cars. The points go as follows: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23 (i.e. following the same progression as the eight car collections). If you manage to deliver all twelve cars, you earn an amazing 1+3+5+7+9+11+13+15+17+19+21+23=144 points. The collection can be completed only once.

Hookers, dead passengers, and exotic exports

Per tradition, there are special points for delivering exotic exports, hookers, and dead passengers. A maximum of 10 of each of these can be delivered per team. The scores for these increases as follows: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, separate for each category and each team. So, if your team delivers 2 exotics, 3 hookers, and 4 dead passengers, your team would earn (1+2)+(1+2+3)+(1+2+3+4) points. Hookers and dead passengers can be delivered in any vehicle i.e. it must not be a vehicle that needs delivering, though it can be, in which case both will count.
