On 4th January 2025, Agent Black, DanZeroCode, Dingleberryfarts, Doozledoo, Ganz, Loc, MadeByWitt, Mattiejas, Sarah Croft and Uncle Tim joined host Pakuranga Pete for the crew’s first Kamikaze Fred event, running several rounds of Floorball’s amazing Kamikaze Fred race. We chose the version with 2 runners because it encourages more co-operative gameplay. This meant that we had 9 hunters armed with Vestra aircraft to track down and stop the runners from reaching their checkpoints in the Fred race. We took turns to be the first runner, with the second runner being chosen randomly by the game. In all but one attempt, the runners managed to reach all of their checkpoints and win the round. The action was so fast-paced that we don’t have many photos from the event – a few of our photos are pasted below.
The crew had so much fun in this event that it was immediately decided to host a second Kamikaze Fred event later in the year, with the next event running the version with only one runner. This will be a lot more challenging for the runner!
