Do you sometimes have a feeling that a coincidence can change the way you enjoy the games you play? I think this is exactly what happened to me, when I joined the Pacific Standard heist finale 10 years ago and one of the players in it was the leader of Ethical Retinue crew…
Maybe it is not a very ambitious theme for an event, but why not give it a try. So we met at my 3 Alta St apartment to recreate this early March day, when it all started. I was joined by Pete, Jay, Johnny, Mattie, Snow, Beavis & Kunsto. After putting on some classic heist outfits, we traveled to the aforementioned bank. Since there was no crowd to control, we made it out without police attention and ran to the bikes. Our next stop was the place where I actually accepted an invite to the crew sent to me by Mattie and out of pure joy, we flared this location. Our group picture took place on Lifeinvader sign – where I joined the very first ETCL event later on. I am so sentimental.
The playlist consisted of randomly picked jobs:
- co-op capture with many hostile aircrafts,
- high speed tube race,
- jet vs RPG LTS,
- build-a-bridge capture,
- night race around Vinewood,
- avalanche capture with lots of trucks,
- atomizer showdown,
- and my lawnmower race.
I would like to thank everyone who joined the event. Special thanks to Pete for providing extra snaps from the party. Future events await!
