About a year ago, nop, snack, and myself set out some plans of what we wanted the crew to look like in the near future (see one of the first blog posts!). We did lot’s of stuff, and I think we achieved our plans. Now that we’re quite a bit bigger and have a stronger core of active people, we’ve had a bit of a discussion among commissioners, and we thought that now would be a great time to stand still for a second, and think about what we (not individually but as a community) want the crew to look like, say in the next 6 months…
Please share your thoughts!!
I think we’re pretty good on the core size of things. Too many people and it’ll be harder to be social, since we’ll all just fade in the group.
I think it would be useful to consider that any member of the group, who has been inactive for at least 6 months (no message on the forum, no participation in the events or connection on discord) is removed from the members.
Then, I will say that thanks to the various updates of the game, this allows to renew activities and maintain a certain interest, especially for those who like me play regularly within this group.
The new players who join us are sometimes new arrivals on GTA5 and I find it very nice to redo a CM or elite runs.So I think I will still be among you in 6 months, if the original spirit of this group remains what it is (including with new members) even though I will soon have a new baby (another daughter, in the end of January)

I joined ETCL in May but I realised in the end of September that we are really bunch of kind and friendly players, not just a crew with no spirit. Pity I realised it too late. But, better late than never.
The shape of the crew is fine for me. Weekly crew events (with 10+ players at least) are always very nice. Like Gloozy said, updates keep the game interesting, as there are always new things to do. BTW we should start a new thread called “new modes impressions”. Moreover, there are a lot of duties and mattie is doing most of them and I have to admit, if that was me, I would be much lazier than our boss is.
Congratulations Gloozy! Pleased to hear great news. Kasszelle is also a nice name for baby. Along with Mattiejaselle, Mathilliette and Nopiliette, ofc 😛

On size, we’re good on that, although IMO we should still aim for a slight growth in active players, but keep it slow and steady with focus on quality as we’ve done in the past.
On activities, there’s the usual now traditional weekly crew “playlist” event, and I wonder if it would be attractive to have other types of events as well, such as CEO night, MC night, snapmatic night, contact mission night, heist night, … ? For the latter two naturally we’d have to split up the group (I don’t necessarily see that as a problem).
Are there things we could do better/differently with the website, the blog, … ? I think we have a formula that works pretty well, but new ideas are welcome.
Some variety in events are definitely important to retain people’s interest. I am slowly working on a new car theft city, but no ETA yet. Having nights where we gang up or against each other with CEO and MC stuff is definitely easy to set up and fun to do. Snapmatic night might be very fun in a casual get together sort of way.
The blog is fine I believe. Maybe time for a new header image? The one with the tub is kinda old by now. Might be nice to get one with the new members included as well.
U want to be on the header image Roof dont you ? :p I was about to set up a screenshot contest and i had the idea the winner would have his/her picture put on the header of the site but resent events kind of have had my motivation vanished for now.
Well I wanna be IN IT. But I want it to be a group shot. Just having one person there would be counter productive I feel, it should be all of us. Cuz we’re a crew.
the contest could be the best crew shot. I love u roof but i dont want to have only ur picture on the header too.
A contest is a great idea! We could set up a snapmatic event for this where everyone in turn makes their snap and we help each other creating it (i.e. posing, possibly suggesting things).
For the final result, ideally we’d have one in 1440p resolution (or higher); don’t know if everyone can produce this, but we can share clips & projects to recreate a proper resolution header image if need be.
