I’ve updated our crew rules to reflect the CEO/MC/bunker businesses as well, since they were written long before those were introduced and hadn’t been updated since. In particular, the 2nd rule now says:

Share your loot fairly. For instance, when leading heist finales, please give everyone a 20% share. A 40/20/20/20 split is the fairest split, bearing in mind that the leader has an upfront cost and does not earn anything for the setup missions. It serves as a statement of appreciation and trust in the crew. The default 15% is unfair under normal circumstances. Similarly, if people help you with your business, please help them in return, and don’t exploit people.

Note that I’ve also changed the old 25% for heists to 20% – I don’t want people to feel pressured in any way to go beyond what’s normal. I know a lot of us always give 25%, you can of course keep doing that!

I hope that’s not too controversial, but happy to discuss if anyone feels this needs further amendment.

I think that amendment covers things quite well.
It might be beneficial to say that lower cuts can be accepted if everyone involved is in agreement, for instance if two players volunteer in order to give less wealthy players a higher payout; this might be common knowledge, but it may lead to doubt if not stated.
I wouldn’t say your changes are controversial; they fit in well with the ethos of the crew and give clear guidelines to follow. :3

Money topic is always very sensitive. Unfortunately, circa 70% players of GTAO society play just for money, while fun is just a background. Of course, money is important, like in real life, as it allows us to reap the benefits of everything LS has to offer. However, I am sure that every member of our crew belongs to that remaining 30%. On the other side though, heists are still primary way to earn money in game. IMHO, Pac Std is abused in this case 😛

Back on topic, good thing you mentioned pressure subject. There are some players who just like to accumulate money on their bank accounts to spend it on various things (new vehicles, properties or freshly released update contents). Pressure? Personally, I am happy if I can give someone from crew 25%, or even more, if I know that this person is in a need of money and it will make him/her happier. This is just a game 😉 Truth is, that our members shouldn’t find themselves under pressure when it comes to share a loot – we must firmly claim that 40/20/20/20 split is absolutely fair.

Concluding, I would say that 40/20/20/20 split is of course fair pick (and no one should feel undervalued bearing in mind that the leader has an upfront cost and does not earn anything for the setup missions), but I think that final word should belong to heist leader, if he/she wants to give other players more money (because I agree that 55/15/15/15 is a bit unfair). I would also suggest you precise what “normal circumstances” mean – I guess you meant playing whole setup with same players?

Many thanks both of you for the constructive feedback. I’ve edited the rule accordingly:

Share your loot fairly. For instance, when leading heist finales, please give all your helpers a 20% share instead of the default 15% (unless a helper explicitly volunteers for a lower cut). A 40/20/20/20 split is the fairest split, bearing in mind that the leader has an upfront cost and does not earn anything for the setup missions. It serves as a statement of appreciation and trust in the crew. Similarly, if people help you with your business, please help them in return, and don’t exploit people.
