I downloaded the game back again yesterday but when I try to launch it, it crashes. I get this error and couldn’t find a solution on the internet. Anyone know why would this happen?

Yeah steam. When I launch the game, social club pop-up appears then it crashes. I’ve tried to launch “as an administrator”, to change DNS but nothing.

    My 2 cents :

#9 Grand Theft Auto 5 – How to Fix Rockstar Social Club Launcher Issues
There have also been a lot of reports about Rockstar Social Club not working properly by different users. First thing you should try to fix it is re-install Social Club manually.

If that doesn’t work, you can try the following workarounds:

    Verify you Game cache.
Try running the launcher as administrator.
Make sure that your antivirus/firewall is not blocking the process.
Make sure that you have latest versions of C++ and directx installed in your PC.
You also need to make sure that the program is being installed in Program Files\Rockstar Games\Social Club directory.

If running the game as admin doesn’t fix the issue, try running the game in compatibility mode.

You need to make sure that your antivirus/firewall is not blocking the game.

I’ve seen similar issues with other games when drivers were out of date, or missing. The first obvious thing I’d try is to ensure you have the latest directx, vcredist, and social club installed (see the _CommonRedist and Installers folders in your GTAV steam folder), as gloozy suggested already.

Failing that, I’d try to delete all local data that pertains to social club such as C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\Rockstar Games\GTA V (obviously after making a backup – for example all exported videos are stored there), and if you’re really brave also C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V (you really want to take a backup before doing this, for example all your snaps and savegames would be stored in here, along with more stuff). This shouldn’t delete your online character (I’ve done it at least once successfully), but then this is rockstar so your mileage may vary…

It’s not much and maybe you tried all of this already, but I hope it helps!
