Be bloody careful about freemode games! Earlier today a hacker stole my five hundred thousand. Just poof and it is gone! Asking rockstar support but we all know how they operate so not exactly having big hopes here.
Note that this money was drained from my bank account but my wallet was left alone, so that might be a way to safeguard yourself. But no promises.

Are you sure that was today? This has been going arount a few days and as far as i know, rockstar knows about this and temporary set the healthcare & bail multiplier to 0. That should mean that hackers should only be able to substract 0 dollars from you account, which doesn’t do shit…
This should not be happening anymore… I’m confusedSry to see that happened to you, hope you get it back asap! Best right now would be to only play with friends and starting jobs from an invite session so you don’t get back in public. Firewall rules for public sessions. I’m still lucky this hasn’t happened to me, haven’t been that careful all the time…
I saw that on Discord chat – myst posted it 2 days ago. Sorry to hear that – I thought public sessions always helped in meeting new players, making GTA Online a big community. Unfortunately, recent situation will probably make people more distrustful. Especially, if money is drained from bank account – meant to make money safe but in this case, it makes it even more exposed. Pity 🙁
On a more positive note, the current event week is 2x $ and RP on contact missions – seeems like a good way to avoid public sessions right now.
Been scrolling GEHT wall on Social Club – one of their members (commissioner, I think) got his rank dropped to 60, because of this stupid mod, not mentioning about money drain. Invite only sessions might become even bigger treasure then, so as firewall settings. I saw a video on YouTube about this mod – I am still wondering why it has not been reported/deleted yet.
I am going to bump lorsch’s thread too – can be useful as never before.
