KeymasterThis is a suggestion originally proposed by roofstone. I’m paraphrasing roughly roof’s idea here: we could leave new members in muscle rank for a bit longer compared to what we do now (basically, at the moment we promote someone to rep pretty much as soon as they say they agree with the crew rules), and to reserve the rep rank to members that are clearly active only (e.g. monthly activity). The argument for this is that it makes us somewhat safer in knowing who has the power to invite, thereby helping to ensure crew satisfaction and the enjoyment of everyone.
We had a brief discussion about this within a smaller group, and we all think this is a good idea. Any thoughts from the larger group?

ParticipantAs far as I can see about half of the representatives are not active players, some not having been on as far as a year ago. It’d make for a much cleaner structure to put them into muscle, but would still keep our membership numerous. So people don’t look at us and just see a bunch of loners.
I honestly consider it a win win win win.
As I said it keeps our numbers and keeps us visually impressive. It makes active representatives feel like more a knit together group rather than the rank and file. It makes it easier for lieutenants and up on the organization and leadership side of things. And as said, it safeguards us against bad invites, which is not a huge issue but still better safe than sorry. No?

ParticipantIt is necessary for new arrivals a minimum of a presentation on the forum and as you say that it accepts the rules of the crew and come at least once a week on the forum, to see the events of the Group, it’s a good idea

ParticipantI think this is a good idea, members with no activity should be ranked as muscles. I know that crew hierarchy must be modified but still, representatives should know that their typical activity is appreciated. OFC, I don’t expect representatives to have account on this website but at least, participate in some events and let others know that “Hey, I’m here, I belong to this crew”. If member is inactive, then there is no objections about placing him/her in muscles rank. Like Roof said, we don’t lose that member (unless he/she became active and wants to know why got demoted).

ParticipantI agree with this procedure.

ParticipantYeah Math put it well. No downside to putting rank and file in muacle and keeping the more active members in representatives. After all. Active members are our representatives.

KeymasterOk, I’ll set it this in motion:
- edit our hierarchy document in the next days,
- post a list of players who I think are in this category in the lieutenant forum for review before going ahead, and
- send a message to anyone who is “muscled” (seems like the nice thing to do), pointing to the new hierarchy rules.
Sounds good?
