Mafia III – My impressions.

Hello guys.

I finished Mafia 3 yesterday. The story, the actors and voice acting is great. Graphics may feel a little weird for a supposedly next gen game but we all played mafia games for their story anyways. Also driving vehicles around feels like you got shoes made of soap and you’re trying to play basketball. 😀 Shooting mechanic is like mass effect. Take cover or you get whacked. The missions are very very repetitive. You whack some guys and take over the territory and give it to one of the bosses. Cassandra for Haitians, Vito for the italian mafia and Burke for the Irish mob. You grab some weed or some booze or a trailer truck from the bayou and deliver it to your underbosses and they get boost to their operations. You get bigger cuts from them ect.

Also a very important note. If your CPU doesn’t have SSA 4.1 and above, you cant play the game. The game just wont start. I don’t know if they put together a patch to fix this issue or not. I was unable to play the game with my Phenom II X6 1100T. Bought a new AMD FX-8300 and I was able to play it. Just letting you all know.

As some of you know, Battlefield 1 is upon us. I preordered it a while back and pre-downloaded it yesterday. Gonna be playing it for a while to see what’s what. I will be active in the evenings with you guys in GTA just probably not during the daytime for a while. Also I ll be available for crew events.

This period shouldn’t take more than a week or so.

mafia iii sux. i bought it and i cant play it. cos gfx sux, its full of bugs etc. iam waiting for some patches which make the game playaple and enjoyable for me. just for others. mafia 3 looks 3x worse than gta5 and running on half fps. rly great work 2k. really great.

btw main difference between gta 5 and mafia 3 is that in gta you can go everywhere you want. or everywhere its possible for your vehicle. mafia 3 is diffetent. i wanted to show my friend how bad it is. so i let him play. he tried free ride in the city. after some time he left the road (i dont think he planned it) and he flooded his car in the river. anyway he couldnt leave the river cos of invisible wall. after minute or two he found place where he could go back to the ground and continue the journey.

if you want to steal the car in mafia, you have to go exactly close to the drivers doors and then press the button/key. in gta you can stay anywhere near to the car and when you press f, character know what to do. aaaahhh, that game is soooo bad

I hear they released some patches but I doubt that’s gonna fix the “getting out of the water” problem. I almost smashed the damn keyboard out of frustration while trying to get out. And I rarely get frustrated lol. Games are supposed to relieve stress not cause it lol.
